| CNGEEU stages protest demonstration in favour of their demands | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 9: Jammu and Kashmir Central Non- Gezetted Electrical Employees Union (CNGEEU) today staged protest demonstration in favour of their demands in front of press club Jammu. According to press release, CNGEEU provisional secretary Surjeet Khajuria said that the administration was now playing dilly dally tactics in hay way manner just to cause undue harassment to these poor employees who had utilized their golden years while serving in department at their risk, cost and even without availability of any proper safety measures, only for the sake of this department. He further said that PDD authorities had published the lists of all need based employees after their proper verification from their immediate officials. But despite clear verification of all such employees, no proper measure had taken up for release of wages and till date the wages didn't release in favour of poor employees. He further said that MD Power Development Corporation (PDC) had entered into a written agreement with CNGEEU that PDC daily wagers of J&K state would be regularized and formal orders would be issued by Dec 31, 2013. But till date nothing has been done. PDD had issued lists of 21 districts but Leh had ignored for reasons best known to authorities. Union appealed to principle secretary PDD for approval 47 daily wagers lists of Leh for their regularization. The Union further demanded that all concerned DDO's be directed to forward lists of need based employees to higher authorities, clarify the status of Rs. 6.50 crores that government released in favour of 1791 need based employees, not to close the wages head of daily wagers who had regularized by PDD recently and transfer this amount in favour of need based employees, to convene the DPC at divisional level of all cadres for their regularization in department and vacant lying post of lower grade be filled up, release of pending DA installment, enhancement of medical claim and retirement age from 58-60years and removal of pay anomalies of all clerical cadres. Union further threaten to state government if the above mention demands are not fulfilled before Jan15, 2014 the union would be continue indefinite protest demonstration against PDD/PDC. |
