1/9/2014 11:43:20 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 9: Large number of Khidmat centre owners from all across the state today took out a candle march to press government for consideration of their demands from Rail Head Jammu to Press Club Jammu.
The Khidmat centre owners were jointly protesting under the banner of J&K CSC Association. One of the owners in an interaction with media persons said that government has turned a deaf ear towards their genuine demands.
President of the Union said that government has cheated them by not implementing the National e-Governance Plan which was aimed at providing jobs to thousands of unemployed youth of the state. "We were selected and rolled out by the SCA (J&K Bank) four years back as front end delivery points for the National e-Governance Scheme and were promised that government services like electricity bill collection and other services will be made available at our Centers but nothing has been done. We are running into a business loss and are not able to pay our rents and other dues", he said.
