Madan urges to include Jats’ under OBC status

Jammu, Jan 9: Member Parliament Jammu Poonch Constituency Madan Lal Sharma while addressing a huge Public meeting at Village Lalyal in Raipur Domana Constituency called upon the State Government to pass the resolution in the Cabinet and Assembly and include Jat's under OBC Category as done across the nation.
Addressing the gathering he informed that Jat's are also under privileged sections and fulfills the criteria to be considered under OBC category. He also emphasized on the need for holistic development of under developed Urban and Rural pockets as road connectivity, water, sanitation, education and health are the basic rights of all sections of society irrespective of any distinction of caste, creed or colour.
Underling the need of promoting communal harmony, Congress MP said that India is a secular country and bonds of amity and brotherhood are very strong and everybody should work to supplement the effort. While elaborating the achievements UPA Government, he asked the Panchayat members to link the people with social protection and development schemes as UPA Government has opened the gates of treasures especially for J&K. He asked the party men to gear up for the forthcoming challenges and popularizes the pro poor decisions taken by the UPA Government at the centre in the shape of bringing Food Security Bill, Right to information, Protection for the street vendors and Land reform bill etc and asked State Government to ratify these bills and implement in J&K on top priority for benefit of poor and needy.
On the occasion Congress MP also announced a Community Hall to be constructed under MP LADS Scheme. Other prominent who spoke in this meeting included S Jaswant Singh, S Paramjeet Singh Sarpanch, Madan Lal Rtd Bank Manager and many more.
