| 18-day long handicrafts expo mela concluded | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 9: Eighteen days long handicrafts expo mela today concluded which was organized by the directorate of handicrafts here at Dusshera Ground Gandhi Nagar.
According to press release, Deputy Registrar handicrafts said that the main focus was to provide marketing facilities directly to handicrafts to boost their sale without any involvement of middle man. The products in different crafts were displayed by department /handicrafts especially for rural areas. The department had issued the appreciation certificates to all handicrafts registered participants.
He further said that during the event participants transacted business to tune Rs.46 lakhs which was every higher from last events.
