Panchayat representatives boycott CSC meeting, stage protest

Rajouri, Jan 9: Elected members of Panchyats today boycotted the meeting organised by the Cabinet Sum-Committee(CSC) and raised slogans against the ministers for not allowing them to put or express thier views.
PDP MLA from Darhal, Choudhary Zulfikar termed the meeting, as an eye wash and demanded that the government must make the report public submitted by Mushtaq Ghanie for the creation of new administrative blocks.
He also had an altercation with Mohammad Akbar Lone, Minister for higher education on this issue and said that without the consent of the public nobody could take its own decision/force decision for the creation of new administrative blocks.
The CSC members reached at Rajouri at about 1.35pm and left Rajouri at about 2.10pm and initially only one Sarpanch was allowed to speak on behalf of whole district which was rejected by the Sarpanches and they boycotted the meeting and raised slogans agaginst the CSC members.
Cabinet Sub-Committee (CSC) headed by deputy chief Minister Tara Chand today visited Rajouri and held a meeting with the representatives of civil society, elected members of Panchyats, political and social leaders.
The CSC was constituted to interact with representatives from cross sections of the society to know to know their views and demands in connection with the creation of new administrative units.
The members of the CSC which includes cabinet minsters Sham Lal,Nawang Rigzin Jora,GH Mir,Mohd Akbar Lone,Ajay Sadotra and Saifullha Mir, interacted for only 25 minutes with the elected members of Panchyats, representatives of civil society, political leaders and representatives of social and non government organizations (NGOs).
While interacting with media persons, Ch Zulfiqar demanded that the report submitted by Mushtaq Ghanei (who was authorized to prepare details plan for the creation of such administrative units and had reportedly already submit the report) must be made public.
The representatives of civil society from Noushera constituency demanded district headquarter which should be located in-between Noushera and Siot. Tehsils at Bhawani and Lamberi and NiabatQila Darhal.
Representatives from Sunderbani tehsil demanded tehsil headquarters at Bajawain and Devak. People from Kalakot tehsil demanded tehsil at Triyath and creation of blocks at Khawas,Moghla anf Dhangri and also demanded Niabats for Dharamshal and Argi. Representatives from Darhal constituency demanded creation of district by emerging some areas from Kotranka and Mahor (in Reasi district) as Mahor is near to Lotranka than Reasi. They also reinstate the status of tehsil for Budhal and block at Rajnagar and tehsil headquarters at Khawas and Piri.
People of Rajouri constituency demanded creation of tehsil inbetween Dungi and Chingus and trhsil status for Manjakot (presently Niabat).
They also demanded Niabats for Bhamir Muglan and creation of block in-between Fatehpur and Behrot.People of Thanamndi town demanded creation of SDM office at Thanamandi.
