| Ram Dev to visit Jammu on February 1 | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 9: Chairperson Bharat Swabhiman Trust and Yog Guru Swami Ram Dev has planned to visit Jammu on February 1 to interact with Jammu unit activists of the trust so as to activate them for participating in empowering elected Panchayat members in the state.
State In Charge Bansi Lal disclosed this before media persons while addressing them in Press Club Jammu.
Bansi Lal said that the motif of the Ram Dev visit is to aware the masses of Jammu about the indifferent attitude of State Government towards implementation of 73rd and 74th amendments in Panchayat Raj Institutions.
Taking a jibe at State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah he said Omar himself is not interested to empower the panchayat representatives in the state as same will affect his MLAs and MPs on ground.
He stated that in the entire nation all the funds are being provided to the respective panchayats except the J&K where the funds are being provided to the Block Development Officer and appealed the state government to restore funds operating powers with panchayats |
