| NSS winter camp concludes | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Jan 13: Special 10 days winter camp of NSS unit of Govt.Degree College Thanamandi Concluded today.
A Valedictory function was organized in which Principal of the college Dr. Mushtaq Ahamed Lone was the chief guest with large number of NSS Volunteers besides faculty members were present. During these 10 days besides cleanliness drive and beautification of the college campus three Lectures were organized the first resource person was Prof. Junaid H.O.D EVS who spoke on the topic Deforestation and its effects.
The second Lecture was delivered by Prof Rubina Rather on the topic ''Role of women education and women reservation in different fields and the third Lecture was from Shafiq Malik KAS on the topic ''How to prepare for civil services examination''.
The other programmes included A painting competation on the topic Conservation of environment, Quiz competation, Song competation, field visits and an awareness ralley by NSS Volunteers against smoking and drug addiction. such camps during vacations which doesnot hamper with the academic curriculum of the students besides making the volunteers energetic Physically and socially.
