srinagar, Jan 13: An important letter in possession of Early Times written by Assistant District Medical Officer Kupwara secretly to Director Indian System of Medicine (ISM) Jammu and Kashmir has confirmed "irregularity in the selection process of Medical officers.
His reason of not signing the final list reveals that something is wrong with the process.
The letter conveys that fraudulent measures have been used in the selection process of Medical officers under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), Rashtriya Bal Swast Karikrum (RBSK) in District Kupwara, besides adding in his letter to Director ISM that keeping in view the irregularities in the selection process he is not signing the final selection list of candidates of District Health Society Kupwara.
After Subject line which mentions that "selection of medical officers Ayush phase 2nd, irregularity in the selection." Dr Farooq further mentioned that "As stated in the subject cited above I want to apprise your good self that District health society Kupwara invited me as an expert of Ayush for conducting interviews of medical officers Ayush vide advertisement notice no 04 of 2013 dated 29/10/2013 held at Dak Bungalow Kupwara, but at the time of finalization of the selection list my award was not considered being an expert, hence I have signed the final selection list, so in process of finalization of the selection list I should not be taken responsible."
As early times exposed the scam on November 23, 2013, the officials including Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Chief Medical officer, besides Director NRHM while talking to early times assured fair selection. However according to the details received despite confession of irregularities in the selection process by none other than a rank of Assistant District Medical officer of the same District to Director ISM Jammu and Kashmir, list of candidates without any probe by authorities was published on 07/01/2014 in local daily paper.
On the bases of Document details and information received from sources early times on November 23, 2013 has already exposed the names of few among the many blue eyed candidates with their names, Serial number and roll numbers occupying the selection list of Medical officers.
Pertinently when early times named a few blue eyed candidates which include Mohammad Ashraf Wagay placed at serial number 9, roll number 74, Mohammad Syed Rather serial number 8, roll number 68, Mohammad Farooq Dar serial number 11, roll number 76, Irfan Nasir serial number 13, roll number 44, and two female candidates on serial number 7, roll number 73 and serial number 39, roll number 48, assistant Medical officer while acknowledging all the candidates existed in the list but refused a comment.
Notably Director NRHM, Dr Yashpal Sharma also assured that strict action will be taken against all the concerned selectors, however according to the details received till date no action has been taken against anybody. |
