UDHAMPUR, Jan 13: Udhampur Development Council (UDC) celebrated Lohri and Makar Sankranti with religious fervour and gaiety at Jagriti Niketan Old Age Home, Udhampur.
On the occasion, the members of UDC had a gala time with children and senior citizens living in the Home.
Addressing the inmates, Parvesh Parihar made children aware about the importance of Lohri festival and advised them to keep themselves away from different social evils while Anil Paba stressed upon children to put hard work in their studies and achieve newer heights so that they become good citizens and to serve the country.
The team of UDC distributed Mungfali (peanuts) and Rewris (sweetmeats) were distributed among the inmates which made whole environment of Jagriti Niketan Udhampur a remarkable moments. |
