| Provide relief to IAY, BPL category people in power tariff: Vakil to Govt | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 28 : Member AICC and Former Minister, Abdul Gani Vakil appealed Chief Minister for providing relief to common man belonging to IAY and BPL category from discriminatory power tariff burden and asked him not to ignore ground realities and keep in mind that masses will express their anguish in coming elections and no one can spare at the helm of affairs from their wrath and brunt. He said the people belonging to BPL and IAY category are asked to pay the power tariff at the rate of 360 and 550 which they are not at all in a position to pay. He said there is no logic in realizing the same tariff under IAY, BPL and General Category because it defeats the objective of creating BPL categories. |
