SRINAGAR, Jan 28 : The Qayoom faction of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has decided to go all out against the state government alleging that people at helm have failed to address the genuine demands of government employees. In a press release, Pir Nisar Ahmad, Press Secretary, EJAC-Q said that an important and high level meeting of EJAC was held at Provincial Head Quarter Jammu under the chairmanship of Abdul Qayoom Wani, President EJAC-Q and senior leader of Joint Consultative Committee. "In the meeting all the leaders threadbare discussed anti-employee attitude of government which has imposed draconian and undemocratic laws to crush the genuine and justified movement of the employees of the state. Instead of implementing its own agreement signed on the directions of Chief Minister state government is lending a deaf ear to the genuine demands of the employees," said EJAC-Q Press Secretary. The Press Secretary EJAC-Q said that in the meeting all leaders stressed upon to gear up the movement and decided not to succumb under the pressure tactics of the government. He said arrangements and other modalities regarding the January 30 Secretariat Gherao Programme were finalized during the meeting. "President EJAC appealed general employees especially employees of Jammu Province for their enmasse participation in Secretariat Gherao Programme. The leaders who attended the meeting include Dr. Manzoor Ahmed, Amrik Singh, Ganesh Khajuria, Darshan Singh, Dalbir Singh, Narinder Singh Jamwal, Rajinder Gupta, Pir Ghulam Rasool and Jagdev Singh," said Press Secretary EJAC-Q. |
