Jammu, Feb 1: Though evading any controversial statement on Article 370, Yoga Guru Baba Ram Dev during media interaction here today in winter capital briefly said that he wants uniform laws to be implemented across the whole country.
Addressing a media conference here today, Yoga Guru Ram Dev refused to make direct comment on article 370 Debate as was demanded by Narindra Modi during his visit to Jammu in December last year. Without getting deep in the issue, he in a bid to evade direct reply briefly said that he wants uniform laws to be implemented in whole nation for ensuring equality among all citizens of India.
Meantime he also advised J & K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to separate himself from Congress and advised him to resign immediately. He said that Congress is a sinking ship and suggested union minister Farooq Abdullah and his son chief minister Omar Abdullah to leave the Congress and board the BJP ship lead by Narindra Modi. Appreciating the Modi magic, he said that large number of people across the country has already accepted Mr Modi as Prime Minister of India and election for the same is simply a formality to authenticate Modi as PM.
The Yoga Guru before concluding his press conference said that he will make another visit to Jammu before upcoming parliamentary elections. He however defended former BJP President Natin Gadkari and Union Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah on corruption charges leveled against them by Aam Admi Party (AAP) through a list of corrupt politicians released by the AAP on the other day.
He said that he personally knew Natin Gadkari since last over one decade and added that he (Gadkari) has enough and ample genuine resources of his own and added that there was no need for him to choose corrupt path. Baba Ramdev said that AAP has lost its path and has deviated from main issues.
Ram Dev also defended Union Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah on corruption charges leveled against him by APP and said Dr Abdullah is a shrewd politician and will never indulge in mischievous activities. While reacting to Rahul Gandhi's recent remarks on 1984 Sikh riots, Baba Ram Dev said that it is the honesty and simplicity of Rahul Gandhi that forced him to speak truth which was also vetted by his late father Rajiv Gandhi. He however added mere apology from Rahul Gandhi on behalf of Congress is not sufficient and demanded action against the guilty Congress leaders.
After his media interaction Yog Guru also visited the house of BJP leader Chander Prakash Ganga.
