Pensioners to hold protest in Samba on Feb 9

Samba, Feb 1: A committee meeting of Pensioners' Association, Samba was held here today under the chairmanship Mukand Lal Sharma Convener and General Secretary Madan Lal Abrol presided over the meeting, wherein the pensioners highlighted their demands and members decided to hold protest on Feb 9 at Govt Higher Secondary School Vijay Pur.
Madan Lal Abrol General Secretary said that the pensioners and Employees of the state have been struggling for the last four years in connection with their problems in relating to the implementation of the 6th Pay Commission but the State Govt has shown no reasonable response upto this time.
Instead this State Government enhanced the salary of the Legislators with three times hike and perks amounting to more than ninety thousand rupees per month, he added. He added if the State Govt fails to accede the demands of the pensioners and employees in near future , they will be left without any option but to launch an agitation across the State.
Mukand Lal Sharma Convener of the Association also criticized the Govt for its failure to solve the problem of Pensioners of the State who were the back bone of the state. The State Govt paid Rs Ten Lakhs amount to the Legislators in respect of their arrears in one installment unfortunately the Govt paid only two installment to the pensioners upto this date.
He appeals to the pensioners of the State that they should be ready to teach them lesson in the coming election. The pensioners will put their own candidate in the coming assembly election. He also appeal to the pensioners to attend the pensioner rally at Vijay Pur.
K DSingh Retd Principal, Tilak Chander Singh Retd ZEO, Hardev Singh, Shankar Singh, Naseeb Singh, Assa Singh Ex CEO, Madan Lal Sharma, Mohan Lal Sharma, Parkash Ram Sharma, Balbir Singh Ex Principal, Sham Lal Sharma, Nagarmal and others also spoke in this meeting.
