Jammu, Feb 4: Students of Lawrelce Public School Panjtirhi and Sidhra branch today celebrated Basant Panchmi, to mark the advent of the spring season. According to press release, children of the pre - primary wing along with teachers were attired in yellow clothes. Students & teachers from both the branches spoke on this occasion informing the audience about the significance of Basant Panchami. Students who spoke included Ansh Bhan, Shikha Baru, Mitali Pandita, Manvi Baru where as Simran Verma, Monika Thapa, Vaishali Sharma, Aditi Athmia recited the poem. Teachers who spoke onn this occasion included Rajni Dutta, Kinnery, Saloni Padha and Rakhi Chauhan. Principal, Shakuntla Joshi in her address informed that it was the most ancient festival of India and poet Kalidas wrote about it in his books. Moreover, th students of R.M Public School, a sister concern of Shiksha Niketan celebrated Basant Panchmi with gusto and a feel of religiousness was seen in the air when everyone including the staff members as well as the students were dressed in diversed shades of yellow magnifying the splendor of nature. Principal Ravinder Kour conveyed her greetings to all the staff members and students on the occasion. |
