Army organises tailoring , stitching programme

Rajouri, Feb 9: Army unit under the aegis of Romeo Force (CIF) organised a week long 'Tailoring and Stitching' training course for the women of border belt in Noushera tehsil.
The training course which was attended by 25 women and girls concluded today was conducted with the aim of imparting suitable vocational training and guidance to the women and girls, of this border region, in order to make them capable of either starting their own business or meeting house hold requirements of tailoring.
The course was planned and conducted by the Army under Operation Sadbhavna after taking cognizance of repeated requests made by Mohd Sadiq, Mohd Shafi, Sarpanches of Pukhrni and Lam and Jarnail SinghNaib Sarpanch, Rajwa and other village elders of adjoining areas for conduct of such vocational training programmes for women.The trainees were imparted practical tips on dress making and stitching by Geeta Devi of Lam and family members of the participating women, girls.
