Jammu, Feb 9: Shaheed Gunj police conducted raid at the official residence of Ex Health Minister Shabir Khan at Gandhi Nagar to arrest him. The Srinagar Police were accompanied by Gandhi Nagar police. However, he was not found there, official sources said.
The Srinagar police reached in Jammu with the arrest warrant issued against Ex Health Minister.
Pertinently, the Srinagar Police booked Khan on charges under Sections 354 (assault or criminal force on a woman with the intention to outrage modesty of a woman) and 509 (act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the Ranbir Penal Code (the criminal statute in force in J&K).
The further raids at the possible hideouts of the Khan were in progress till late hours. |
