| Congress, PDP alliance in interest of Nation: Muzaffar Beigh | | |

Jammu, Feb 9: Taking a dig at ruling National Conference (NC) government led by Omar Abdullah, former finance minister and senior PDP leader advocated for Congress, PDP alliance in the state for the betterment of governance and in the interest of nation. Talking to Early Times from New Delhi Beigh said that the economic regression from the last five years in the state is the total failure of NC led government which has not been able to utilize all the funds provided by the Government of India in different schemes like PMGSY, MGNREGA and other centrally sponsored schemes. The states like Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra and others are the best examples of utilizing central funds in different schemes and on the contrary in our state we have a dismal picture of economic growth. "Government of India always help the state in way of economic condition but due to the inability of the persons at helm of the affairs the state is not progressing at par with other states of the country," he said.
He attacked the present dispensation for not holding municipal elections which was promised by the Chief Minister himself in 2010. "When this government didn't care for constitutional/ statuary bodies like panchyats and municipal committees/ corporations, how will they deal with newly created administrative units where state government itself has to look for financial implications?" he questioned.
He appealed to Congress party leaders to go for soul searching whether to continue with his partner who always took advantage of their weakness at central level or would like to choose different ally for the security and the integrity of the nation.
He further added that the NC government has failed on all fronts and has not able to provide any succor to the people of state. There is discrimination in all the three regions as no equitable development. NC always pressurize government of India by raising issue of plebiscite, autonomy etc.Omar Abdullah regime is responsible for grave human rights violation and has also engaged in a battle (verbal fight) with the Army. He also not ruled out of rigging by the National Conference in next assembly elections as they did before in year 1987. He praised Congress, PDP led coalition government in 2002 by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Gh Nabi Azad for giving the good governance and equitable development in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. |
