| NMC seeks amendments in SRO 64 | | | early times report Jammu, Feb 9: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today urged upon the Chief Minister to bringing about required amendments in SRO 64 in the forthcoming session of legislature to pave way for regularization of all daily rated workers who have been engaged in various departments after March 1994. According to press release, Shastri said that these daily rated workers facing serious financial hardships as their services have not been regularized for the last two decades nor they are getting their wages regularly. Stressing on the need for early creations of separate heads in all the concerned departments and budgetary allocations made separately so that till their regularizations, the daily rated workers are able to get their monthly wages regularly and in time. While pleading the cause of clerical cadre of the State Govt. Shastri impressed for removal of all pay anomalies without further delay by amending SRO 93. Shastri has also appealed to the Central Govt. to release 10% DA due from January last in favour of both Central and State Govt. employees and pensioners their after merger of 100% DA into basic pay/pension to neutralize the affect of inflation adding that the State governments should also implement these decisions before the model code of conduct in view of Lok Sabha elections. |
