Jammu, Feb 9: A meeting of Police Retirees Men League was held here in Jammu today wherein major demands were highlighted by the league members.The meeting was presided over by P R Sharma, Retired SP and the meeting was attended by K S Sambyal, President of the league besides other members. In the meeting, as per the release issued here today, it was decided that a deputation of retirees needs to approach to DGP for the settlement of their grievances on priority basis. In the meeting certain other decisions were taken like a committee of ADG/IGP level at PHQ be constituted to frame a policy for settling the retirees in Public Private Sector, a pension cell be constituted at PHQ level for settling the pension cases as early as possible and appoint a retiree GO/Employee who will keep liaison between police office and AG office J&K, 15 per cent quota be reserved for the wards of the retirees/in service police officers, life saving drugs to the wards of police officers, medical allowances besides other beneficial schemes in favour of employees. |
