| Lightening kills Army Jawan in Keri | | | Rajouri, Feb 11: A jawan of Field Regiment was killed, when lightening struck in the wee hours on Tuesday at a forward post in Keri area of Rajouri.
"Identified as Gunner Rahul Singh resident of Rajesathan who received severe burn injuries succumbed to his grievous burns at Army Hospital at Rajouri, sources said.
The matter was brought into the notice of police and after legal formalities and postmortem the body was handed over to the army to be dispatched to his native place.
Sources said that the soldier who had only six years service was on duty in forward post in Baishali area when the lightening struck here today during inclement weather. |
