| 2 day Saffron Development awareness program concludes at Kishtwar | | | Kishtwar: Two days Saffron Development Awareness Program organized by the Saffron Development Officer Kishtwar in collaboration with Department of Agriculture Kishtwar today concluded at Kishtwar today. Additional Vice President and Cluster Head J & K Bank Kishtwar Mohammad Ammin Najjar was the special invitee on this occasion. In his address Cluster Head J & K Bank Kishtwar Mohammad Ammin Najjar elaborated various loan schemes available for the formers in Jammu and Kashmir bank. He informed the gathering that J & K bank is duty bound to cover 100% farmers including Saffron growers under Kissan Credit Card loan scheme. He urged upon the ReZ and employees of agriculture department to help the farmers in availing the loan from J & K bank on easy installments. During this function, agriculture experts from SKUAST Jammu and Kashmir briefed the participants about various modern techniques used in improving the crop production. They also briefed them about the various techniques used in safe preservation of the dry Saffron, beside teach them about various safe and environmental hazardous free method of manure (fertilization) and soaking of saffron corns. The senior officials of the department including Saffron Development Officer Kishtwar Narinder Mishra along with the participants also visited the various Saffron fields and brief the participants about the problems faced by the formers and their solution. He also showed the various machines available on subsidized rates for the Saffron grows and their benefits.
Later Saffron Development Officer along with guest of honor Mohammad Ammin Najjar distributed the certificates among the participants hailing from different areas of Jammu Division.
All the participants expressed thanks to Saffron Development Officer Kishtwar for organizing two days awareness program which adds to their knowledge. |
