Early Times Report

Jammu/New Delhi, Feb 11: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) in a meeting held here in national capital has criticized Relief Organization of Jammu for issuing notice to 112 Kashmiri Pandit migrants and summoned them to their office from Feb 15-21, for counseling for their return to Kashmir Valley just merely on the list submitted by one organization which is not known to the displaced Kashmiri Pandits.
According to press statement issued here today from national capital, President Kundan Kashmiri in his address criticized Relief Organization of Jammu for issuing notice to 112 Kashmiri migrants and summoned them to their office from Feb 15-21, for counseling for their return to Kashmir Valley.
"These families have neither personally approached the govt or Relief Organization nor applied for the same with the govt agency, which clearly indicates a big conspiracy of the govt. against the KP displaced people, he said and added, "this move could harm the KP struggle to large extent and would force KP to face another painful migration."
KPC chief appealed such organizations as well as Relief organization not to play in the hands of govt and its agents, restrict such activities and to work in the larger interest of the community.
He further demanded that all the temple and shrines in Kashmir valley including those maintained by J&K Dharmarth trust to be passed in the state Assembly in-toto for proper management and protection. He further cautioned if this bill has been further delayed or any temple and shrine has been left out of the proposed bill, KP community on the whole would be forced to come out in streets to protest and govt. would be wholly responsible for its serious consequences.During the proceedings members also decided to submit a memorandum to leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Smt Sushma Swaraj and Home Minister of India in this regard.
