Jammu, Feb 11: Former Minister and NCP chief J&K state Thakur Randhir Singh has appointed Shafiq Ahmed Naaz as chairman, Gujjar, Bakerwal cell of NCP with the approval of National President NCP Sharad Pawar.
According to press release, Naaz had recently met Sharad Pawar, Union Agriculture Minister with the delegation of Pony owners and Flower Growers Association of Tangmarg.
Naaz is exporter of flowers like Rose, Gul e Aftab, Lily and Gladiolus to Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and Dehradun. Pawar appreciated the work of Naz and asked him to strengthen the NCP in Jammu and Kashmir. Sharad Pawar arranged the meeting of the Naz with the Union Minister of Tourism who assured them all possible help to the Ponywals by the tourism Ministry growers and the tourism industry.
Naaz took up the issue of supply of sub standard spray materials to the farmers of Horticulture in Kashmir due to which fruit growers had suffered a lot and wanted a high level enquiry Pawar heard patiently all their problems and assured them for all possible help. |
