| Rs 5 crore for 659 administrative units a big joke': PDP | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Feb 21,: Castigating State Government for keeping an "Adhoc" provision of just Rs five crore in the budget for the next year for creation of 659 new administrative units in Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP) Friday said it is a fraud and government is befooling people while the reality is that even a block cannot created by Rs five crores. Senior PDP leader Yasir Reshi said that National Conference is building castles in the air and it has failed on every front to turn its ideas and policies into reality. Reshi said that with elections drawing near, the ruling party seems to have gone into an overdrive on the creation of administrative issue. He said that the meager amount that was set apart for the creation of 659 units amply shows that it was an election stunt while the government in reality is not sincere about the creation of these units. "PDP would want to make it clear that any lopsided, manipulative, injudicious or politically oriented creation of administrative units will not only take away the advantage that the ruling party desires to get out of this last hour poll gimmick, but will also create immense anger among the public who will feel deprived of the due rights," he said. |
