| Suspension of 150 absentee employees by DC Kishtwar widely hailed | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Feb 21: The suspension of over 150 government employees by the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Javed Khan on Monday on account of absenteeism has received massive appreciation from the public of Kishtwar and also from the social and political activists. The people living in far flung areas of the District including from Marwah, Warwan, Dachhan, Padder, Sarthal, Bhunzwah and other far flung areas of the District also hailed the step of administration and said that people living in these far flung areas of the state remains cut off from rest of the world for almost six months and added that for even minor work, they were forced to travel to District headquarter which is at the distance of two to three days foot journey like for the people of Machail area of Padder, Sukhnie village of Warwan, Dund, Rinie and Apan villages of Marwah and several other villages. They said that officers hardly visit in these areas and said that majority of offices established for these areas are functional at District Headquarter and are not full filling the purpose for which the government had established these office. "We held several protest and also submitted various memorandum to government demanding shifting of all those offices function at Kishtwar on the name of Marwah, beside also reported the matter of continuous absenteeism of employees but all the authorities paid deaf ear to our concern and Monday's action of DC Kishtwar vindicate our concern" said Yasir Ahmed of Marwah. |
