Jammu, Feb 21: Refuting the news items appeared in various news papers carrying allegations her involvement in corruption, Sonali Kumar termed the allegations baseless. In press statement, referring a news item published in various news paper titles 'Cases against former, sitting Minister, Legislator, bureaucrats pending before anti graft bodies', mentioning inter alia that top bureaucrats facing charges of corruption in SAC include, Sonali Kumar, the then Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education. Sonali Kumar said, "I have to point out that the allegation is totally untrue. The fact is that vide its order number dated November 3, 2006 passed in contempt complaint number J-14/2006 Mohd Shafi Andrabi versis Sonali Kumar and others. The Jammu and Kashmir Accountability Commission has after going into the complaint against me recorded that 'This application is, therefore, consigned to records, as no further action is warranted", the statement reads. |
