| JTC demands minority status for KPs | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 21: Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front J&K has demanded minority status for Kashmiri Pandit community. According to press release, a meeting was held jointly here today in which detailed discussions were held in connection with the problems being faced by the migrant KP community. JTC president Shadi Lal Pandita said that the Kashmiri Pandit migrants were interested in their return to Kashmir valley for their permanent rehabilitation provided by the Government ensures a Satellite Townships near Srinagar City for rehabilitation of the Kashmiri Pandit Migrant community and government job to atleast one member of each Migrant family for managing their domestic needs. The participants have appealed the Government for announcing at least 5 Assembly constituencies temporarily for Kashmiri Pandit Migrants in Jammu till permanent rehabilitation in Kashmir Valley so that these migrants would be able to elect their own representative in the ensuing Assembly elections. |
