| Jammu to get cancer specialists from MAX Hospital every month | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 22: Max Hospital New Delhi has announced its Cancer Specialty OPD in Jammu on 3rd Sunday of every month by Medical Oncologist Dr Nitesh Rohatgi & Kidney & Urology Oncologist Dr Vimal Dassi and Max Hospital New Delhi, at Jammu.
"All specialties related to cancer will render their services in public interest like (medical oncologist ;urological cancer specialist ;kidney cancer specialty ;gall bladder cancer specialty ;gastro intestine cancer specialist lungs cancer specialty ;head neck-cancer specialty ;abdomen cancer specialty ;brain tumors ;breast cancer specialty; blood cancer speciality ; ovarian cancer speciality: cervix cancer specialities shall render their services in Jammu & Kashmir in coming months. Speaking to press media Dr Rohatgi dm- medical oncology", the press release said.
"People are scared of meeting patients suffering from cancer. They think they should not touch or eat with the cancer patients. People need to be educated about these misconceptions. There is a stigma attached to it. Many lives can be saved if people have the right knowledge about the disease and are diagnosed at an early stage," said Dr Nitesh Rohatgi Medical Oncologist .
"Our focus is to facilitate more and more detections at early stages, so that lives can be saved. This disease can happen to anyone. The patient and his family need to be strong to successfully tackle cancer," he added.
