Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 26: MLA Langate, Er. Rashid, who has been furious over the reply of the Government to a listed question in the State Legislative Assembly recently that fuel worth close to Rs. 3 lakhs had been spent on his official vehicle, today again staged a showdown demanding to know as to who has been using his vehicle even as he had denied to avail official vehicle and informed the authorities in written in this regard. "I have never used the official vehicle, I have seen security staff using it, why should the fuel expenses be projected against my name," the MLA questioned, staging protest in front of Speaker's chair. JSM MLA Ashwini Sharma lending support to Er. Rashid argued that the MLA had a right to know that who was using the official vehicle in his name when he had denied to avail it. While Er Rashid was marshaled out the previous day; the Speaker gave a patient ear to the MLA today and assured that he would ask the Government to respond. It is pertinent to mention here that while legislators have been provided Government vehicles, Er Rashid has been seen commuting on auto rickshaws and a private Santro car. |
