Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 26: At a time when Kashmiri Pandits continue to remain divided under various banners and bodies, two key organisations of the community KOA and AIKS have forged alliance for what has been termed as meeting the larger goals of the community unitedly and effectively. The community members have largely appreciated the step and described it as a Herath ( Shivratri) gift to the KPs that would ensure positive development and welfare of the entire community.
The news which first came on the social media was received well and responded with positive statements with members pinning hope that both the organisations while working together would meet bigger targets which have been envisaged for betterment of the community on multifarious fronts and would also strive to achieve what has been in suspended animation on account of Government apathy and indifference.
While announcing forging of collaboration, the joint statement expressed that the leadership of both the organizations have realized an immense need for social engagements and have identified key areas to lay a strong foundation for the prosperity and general well being of our community irrespective of our geographical locations. Such collaboration shall act as a force multiplier and increase the chances of successful accomplishment of the key identified projects, it added. As the community is at cross roads and will be entering into the 25th year of exile next year, this move is being seen as one in right direction and right time by those at the helm , also in the backdrop of the fact that not much has been done cumulatively and unitedly by scores of organisations, which though at own levels are doing their bit in pushing ahead the cause of the community.
The fresh alliance between the two vital organisations which has affiliates not only across the country but also across the globe, is aimed at meeting what has been termed as enormous magnitude of social needs. As the community members have been looking for crisp directions from the leadership of various mainstream organizations , the two bodies have termed their alliance as a humble beginning.
However, the leadership of both the bodies have drawn up a well prioritized strategy and agenda and identified key areas of collaboration for the first phase.
