| Jr Assistant lands in Vigilance net | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 26: State Vigilance Organization (SVO) today caught red handed Junior Assistant Nazir Ahmad Bhat Junior Assistant of Power Development Corporation Division Sopore while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.1000.
SVO spokesperson said Nazir Ahmad Bhat Junior Assistant of Power Development Corporation Division Sopore was arrested during a trap laid following complaint against him. he was arrested while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.1000 as 1st installment from complainant Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone of Nowshera Boniyar, Uri who had approached Vigilance Organisation with written complaint alleging therein that the accused has demanded Rs2000 as bribe for processing the pay arrears of the complainant.
Acting on the complaint, Vigilance sleuths laid a trap and accused was caught red handed while demanding and accepting phenolphthalein dusted amount from the complainant in the presence of independent witness.
A case vide FIR number 5/2014 under section 5(2) P.C. Act 2006 r/w 161 RPC P/S VOK has been registered and further investigation is in progress. |
