Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 9: Guru Gangdev Ji (SGGJ) Model School Shiv Kashi Sunderbani organized a celebration of "International Women's Day" in the premises of Mode School, Shivkashi, Sunderbani. The main aim of the celebration was 'inspiring change human values and equality for women. On this day school authority honoured 25 students and distributes prizes among them for their outstanding performance in the field of education. Those who honored including Neeru Chowdhary (10th), Ankita (10th), Prakriti (9th), Payal (9th), Bindia (9th), Rashi (8th), Supriya (8th), Poonam (7th), Samriti (7th), Anjali (7th), Ruchika (6th), Ayushi (6th), Ashrita (6th), Taniya (6th), Archana (5th), Neharika (5th), Taniya (5th), Riya (4th), Sindhu (4th), Parmeet (3rd), Ishu (3rd), Nidhi (2nd), Piyushi (2nd), Ridhi (1st) and Prakriti (1st). While addressing the students M.K.Bhan, Director/Principal threw light on the historical background of the day and said that today participation of women in every field rise due to good quality of education. " Educate a male means educate one person but educate a\ female means educate to the whole family". There should be special provision of education for female girls who belonging to weaken section. Bhan further highlighted that in India particularly, life of women is far below the normal HDI (Human Development Index) criterion. There are numerous untold stories full of agony and misery about women. Ranging from domestic turbulence to the lateral consequences of the ongoing turmoil across the country, women continue to be at the ultimate risk. In times of war and peace, women (especially rural folk) are among the worst sufferers and they have undergone severe psychological/ emotional traumas. |
