| Omar will know whether there is Modi wave or not | | BJP should convince Modi to contest from Jammu | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah is not able to digest Narendra Modi impact in Jammu and Kashmir despite the fact that around 80000 people turned up in his rally on December 1 last year. Omar denies that NaMo has made inroads in his state which has been ruled by his party, National Conference (NC) for most of the time during past 67 years. The Chief Minister must be aware that if Modi decides to contest the Lok Sabha elections in either of the two seats of Jammu region, Jammu-Poonch or Udhampur-Doda, the Chief Minister will not be able to stop him from winning this. Not even the NC-Congress coalition government would be able to stop the BJP giant to win with big margin. The internal fight within the BJP in J&K as well as in New Delhi must be put to an end and a viable solution must be thought out and what better if Modi comes and contests election from Jammu region. The People of the state will support him like anything and it will be a kind of message to all countries that the state which is considered a dispute has welcomed Modi, whose image is anti-Muslim. This is the best chance for BJP and Modi to show their sympathy towards people of the state and put a brave face that NaMo is ready for any challenge and he could contest from the den of Omar Abdullah. If it happens, Omar will come to know that whether it is Modi impact in J&K or not. But first BJP should put aside their own differences and work for the nation on the whole. |
