| New 1500 voters included at 301 camps in Reasi | | |
Jammu , Mar 9: As many as 1500 news voters were today included in the voters list today at 301 polling booths organised in different parts of Reasi district."In first of its kind initiatives 301 camera equipped observers were deputed for all the polling stations to document the progress of each Booth Level Officers," official spokesman here said.He said wide publicity through various mediums ensured greater participation and inclusion of around 1500 new voters in the list for forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
"District Election Officer Shahid Choudhary inspected a series of polling stations in rural areas and 30 Sector Officers and 45 zonal officers were deployed for ensuring the proper arrangements at each polling booth and registration of new voters," he added.He said the BLOs have already started a door to door campaign and verification for addition of new voters which was launched on February 25 and will continue till March 20.
The ongoing SVEEP campaign Jashn-e-Jamhuriat has already registered a record number of more than 12000 voters in last 6 months, he added. |
