| Manjit Singh appeals youth to shun drug addiction, participate in sports | | | et report Vijaypur, Mar 9: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Manjit Singh today appealed youth to involve themselves in extracurricular activities to go away from drug addiction. Singh was addressing youth on the final match of a cricket tournament where he was invited as chief guest. He said that the drug addiction has prevalent in the area and it should be avoided. Playing games would be helpful for the youth to keep themselves in the activities and such a menace can be eradicated from the society, he added. Earlier, Singh distributed trophy and reward of Rs 5100 to Pekhari cricket club which won match from cricket club Yogpur. Yogpur was given runner up tropy and reward of Rs 3000. Notably, 25 cricket different teams played in the tournament organised at Jakh in memory of Shaheed Caption Madan Lal Chouhan and Shaheed Sunny Choudhary. The tournament was attended and organised by Sarpanch Sukhjinder Singh Poll and management committee. |
