| NMC for devising formula finalizing 7th pay commission recommendations | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar, 9: President of the National Mazdoor Conference Subash Shastri today urged upon the chairman of the 7th pay commission Justice (Retd.) Ashok Mathur to commence visits of various states of the country to hold discussions with all the stake holders for devising formula for finalizing its recommendations well in time. Addressing a rally of NMC activists here, Shastri said that a calendar of meetings with representatives of employees and pensioners organizations, state governments and all other concerned should be drawn up so that recommendations of the 7th pay commission are simultaneously implemented in favour of both centre and state governments employees and pensioners and there are no anomalies, whatsoever, while implementing the report of the pay panel. Shastri suggested that 7th pay commission should be also recommended to the central government to arrange the resources for the states having facing financial constraints to enable them to implement its all recommendation in one go. He pleaded that 7th pay commission should recommend to the central government merger of 50% DA and payment of 20% interim relief in favour of salaried class till the commission submit its final report to the central government. This, he pointed out is essential neutralize the affect of inflation. He also demanded release of 10% DA due from January last in favor J&K state government employees and pensioners adding that DA is the part of salary and routine financial matter and as such there should be no hitch in releasing it. Among other who also spoke on the occasion were Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochar, Bhupinder Singh Subash Sharma, Surinder Kumar, Sukhdev Singh and many others. |
