| Alleged custodial killing: HC directs Kishtwar to file fresh status report | | |
Jammu, Mar 11 (JNF) : In a petition filed by the father of young boy who allegedly killed in police custody (shown as Pakistani Militant) seeking direction to open the grave and the body exhumed besides conducting DNA Test, so that identity of the dead-body is fully established, Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir of J&K High Court Jammu Wing observed that petitioner shall report to Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar so as to enable him to take follow up and directed Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar to file status report after four weeks.
After hearing Adv SS Ahmed appearing for the petitioner, Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir observed that as per the earlier order Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar has filed status report along with order in terms of whereof Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar has been appointed as Nodal Officer to take further steps in association with CDFD laboratory Hyderabad for collecting the samples and obtaining the result after profiling of DNA.
After going through the status report, Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir observed that petitioner shall report to Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar so as to enable him to take follow up and directed Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar to file status report after four weeks. |
