After ET report, adm announces holidays in erstwhile Doda distt
3/11/2014 10:50:30 PM
Jammu, Mar 11: After a news item published in "Early Times" in its today's edition titled as "Winter vacations extended in Kashmir, Jammu division ignored" , the District administrations of Doda and Kishtwar Districts finally wake up from deep slumber and announced two and three days holidays for all government and private schools falling under the jurisdictions of respective districts.
The holidays were announced following the hostility of weather which once again has slid the temperature following fresh snowfall in upper reaches and rainfall in plains across the state. The authorities in Kashmir valley observing the change in climatic conditions announced holidays for educational institutions but the institutions falling under winter zone were ignored by the authorities in Jammu region. Pertinently the holidays were only announced following a news item appeared in 'early Times regarding the students becoming prone to extreme cold conditions due to inclement weather in recent days.
