Jammu, Mar 18: Radio Kashmir Srinagar & Radio Kashmir Jammu organised a Joint music concert "Ek Shaam Jammu Ke Naam" in collaboration with Govt. College for Women at the college premises.
It was an effort put forward by both the Radio Stations as a befitting tribute to the people of Jammu and the legendary artists of radio.
The two hour's long concert took off with a soulful Kashmiri song written by P.N.Shad and rendered by Sandeep Kaul, depicting the beauty and spirituality of Kashmir. Young talented dancers of Jammu presented a theme dance on this song.
Songs in all the major languages of the state including Kashmiri, Dogri, Gojri, Bhaderwahi & Pahari were presented to a capacity crowd by the artists drawn from Srinagar, Jammu, Bhaderwah etc.
The audience were amused by the professional & skillful rendering of the music by artists like Waheed Jeelani , Deepali Wattal, Parveen Azad, Zolikha Fareed, Bashir Ahmed Mastana, Slathia Brothers, Chanchal Sharma, Nidhi Kaila, Supriya Sharma, Sandeep Koul. The compositions were done by the son of the soil Sh. Kuldeep Sapru.
The concert was attended by the prominent citizens, Dy. Director General, Radio Kashmir Srinagar Bashir Aarif, Director Tourism, Jammu Soujanya Sharma, Jitender Udhampuri, Principal, Govt. College for Women, Parade Hemla Aggrawal, Regional Manager ,SBI, Jammu Surinder Kapoor, Sr. Advocate, S.S.Anand Lehar, Head of the Office, Shailesh Raina & Programme Head, Sh Ravi Magotra of Radio Kashmir Jammu were also present. |
