Jammu, Mar 18: In a bid to highlight the genuine concerns of the students of University of Jammu, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarathi Parishad (ABVP) today criticized the Jammu university authorities for enhancing the fee structures including the hostel fee.
Addressing the media persons here today, ABVP (Jammu University wing) President Ashwani Sharma said that University of Jammu has hiked the hostel fee, making it difficult for the students to stay in the hostels. "The hike in hostel fee should be taken back as early as possible, he added.
He also mentioned that 200% increase in electricity charges while as there was 260% and 70% increase in miscellaneous fee and hostel infrastructure fund respectively. Later, ABVP said that it will launch a series of protests against the Jammu University authorities if their demands are not met.
