Jammu/New Delhi, Mar 18: Amit Sharma, Special Secretary to Government, Animal/SheepHusbandry (A&SH) Department, who was a special Invitee in Secure IT 2014 Summit held recently at New Delhi, has vouched for foolproof e-Governance practices across the board with safe and secure systems in place. While addressing the gathering, Amit strongly vouched for foolproof e-Governance practices across the board with safe and secure systems in place. He mentioned about the beginning of a silent revolution across the nation in terms of shifting of traditional governance towards e-Governance. He emphasized that sooner or later, every state Government has to adopt e-Governance models as the only way of successful. Pertinent to mention here that Amit Sharma recently has finished year long deputation from IIM Indore after undergoing Executive Post-Graduate Programme in e-Governance including another five month’s Internship with one Ernst & Young, which is one of the world’s leading Consultancy firms in e-Governance before joining back in J&K Government. In his keynote address, Amit talked about various safety parameters such as Data Recovery (DR) Centres, proper softwares to counter virus, phishing and cloning attacks, deceptive techniques to counters hacking & cyber criminals, etc. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted progress in e-Governance implementation in Jammu and Kashmir and further expected that lot of more steps shall be taken in the near future to enforce safe e-Governance in various departments of J&K Government through implementation of e-PRC, Computerization of Land Records, e-PDS Card, creation of State Resident Data Hub and many such other initiatives. Apart from Special Secretary to J&K Government, Amit Sharma, lot of other eminent speakers from Central Government, other state Governments and Private Sector talked about various e-Governance security measures being undertaken across the nation in various states and Ministries such as Safe City Project, Home and Defence Ministry Projects, International Projects in Safe IT Practices, etc. |
