Bari Brahamana, Mar 18 : Motor Vehicle Department (MVD), Jammu in collaboration with Dogra College of Education, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, Jammu organized a Road Safety Awareness Camp in the college premises here today. The awareness camp is part of ongoing drive by the department to aware the school and college going students regarding the importance of observance of the road safety rules and the procedure for making driving licenses. On this occasion, power point presentations on road markings and traffic signs and several films were shown on Road Safety especially on the need to observe Traffic rules so as to avert accidents on roads. Students were also familiarised regarding the on line filling up of learner's licenses. Besides that Learner's License forms were also distributed among the students and staff members of the college. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Kr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, B D Damral, Director Academics and Principal, Dogra College of Educatiuon, Shefali Sharma, Vice Principal, Bela Thakur, Academic coordinator of the College, Arvind Kotwal, Regional Transport Officer Jammu, Kuldeep Singh ARTO Jammu, Sunil Cannie Inspector, Mohd. Shafi, Section Officer and Arvind Raina, Senior Assisstant. Earlier Shefali Sharma called upon the students to make full use of this opportunity provided by the Motor Vehicle Department and to imbibe the road safety norms and strictly adhere to the same for ensuring their safety as well as safety of others too on the roads. Arvind Kotwal, RTO Jammu emphasized on the need for observance of the road safety awareness and expressed his concern for further disseminate the message of road safety among the peer group and the family members. He further stressed on the need for cautious driving in conformity with the road safety norms and Motor Vehicle rules. |
