Early Times Report

Jammu/Samba, Mar 24: Former Minister and Member AICC Abdul Gani Vakil today said that Congress-led UPA government always walked a mile extra for establishing permanent peace in Kashmir Valley and initiated CBMs to infuse confidence amongst the masses in J&K. "Constitution of Working Groups and Rangarajan Committee depicts the serious attitude of the UPA to put J&K on track of peace and development, senior Congress leader Vakil said while addressing Seva Dal Workers Convention today at Samba Jammu which was presided over by Chief J&K Seva Dal Balwinder Singh Sambyal
While highlighting the achievements and initiatives of UPA Government, Vakil said, Congress led Governments have always prioritized the interests of masses and believed only in finding an honorable solution to Kashmir problem. Citing various achievements of UPA led regime at centre, Vakil said that be it appointment of interlocutors in Jammu and Kashmir or opening of cross Line of Control routes all speak in volumes about sincerity and concern of Congress-led UPA government towards addressing aspirations of people of all the three regions in state. He said that in contrast to congress policies BJP concentrates on communal and exploitive agenda to grab power hence can never be sincere to anyone particularly in resolving Kashmir issue. He said that those leaders who are blaming UPA Government for being an impediment in resolving Kashmir issue must go for introspection and need to think twice before making frivolous and baseless allegations. Cautioning the whole country about the BJPs win, Sr. Vice President J&K PCC said if Narendar Modi, God forbid, becomes the Prime Minister, it will be a tsunami like situation for India and this happening will never prove fruitful or in the interest of the country at any stage. Addressing the gathering Chief J&K SevaDal Balwinder Singh Sambyal described youth as future of the nation and said country has high hopes on its younger generation. Secretary J&K PCC Irfan Naqib and others speakers appealed people to support Congress candidate Madan Lal Sharma. On this occasion many Sr. workers of BJP and Panthers party joined Congress.
