| Mehbooba hints at possible PDP-BJP coalition in state? | | Vajpayee, Mufti initiated peace, development for J&K' | | Javaid Naikoo Jammu, Mar 24: Terming Vajpayee led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in centre and Mufti led government in state an era of peace and development for people of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti while indicating possible coalition in future with BJP said that keeping in view previous progressive era, NDA will always remain praiseworthy for Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP). While addressing a massive gathering in Shopian, Peoples Democratic Party President and Lok Sabha candidate for South Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti said that while National Conference leadership is criticizing PDP among common masses across the state for praising Atal Bihari Vajpayee led NDA, Mehbooba added that PDP will keep praising NDA headed by Atal Bihari Vajpayee for the role it played in initiating peace processes with Pakistan and helping Mufti Muhammad sayeed to start an era of development in the state during its tenure in Jammu and Kashmir. "It was after uncountable killings and tremendous destruction since 90's in the state that Vajpayee Ji visited Kashmir on Mufti's invitation and duo announced era of peace through Friendhsip with Pakistan and development under common Minimum Programme." Said Mehbooba Mufti. Indicating possible coalition with Bhartiya Janata Party for the forthcoming assembly elections, Mehbooba Mufti said that PDP leadership will keep praising the era her party had with NDA headed by Atal Bihari Vajpayee in future too and alleged that though united progressive alliance (UPA) also supported PDP-Congress coalition in right perspective when PDP was in power but the present coalition government also supported by UPA has failed at all fronts, resulting in suffering, chaos and confusion for people across Kashmir. Mehbooba said PDP made history during its alliance with Congress by carrying along even the NDA government in Delhi to script a new agenda of peace and reconciliation in India and Pakistan as well. She alleged that despite having four elected representatives in Parliament and close friendship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah with Rulers in Delhi , they did nothing to stop hanging of Afzal Guru. Mehbooba alleged that it is NC leadership which after gifting power projects to people from outside the state are not only labeling common masses of kashmir as 'Mahachors". |
