Three killed, 12 injured in Doda, Rajouri accidents

Doda/Rajouri, Mar 24: Three persons were killed while twelve persons sustained injuries in three separate accidents which occurred in Doda and Rajouri districts of Jammu region.
As per police sources in a tragic accident on Kishtwar-Doda-Batote National Highway, two persons lost their lives while one suffered critical injures when a Tata Sumo in which they were traveling met with an accident near Khellani Nallah some 14 KM from Doda during intervening night of March 23/24.
"The ill fated vehicle (JK14A-6776) on its way to Doda skidded off the road and rolled down into deep gorge, police sources said.
After receiving an information about accident, police party from nearby police post rush to the spot and evacuated the occupants from them to District Hospital (DH) Doda where doctors declared one person dead brought dead while another succumbed to his fatal injuries while the injured was referred to the Govt Medical College & Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu. The deceased dead persons were identified as Tariq Hussain son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Udhyanpur Doda and Mudassir Ahmed son of Mohammad Hanief Hajam resident of Beoli Doda, police sources said adding, "injured has been identified as Ahsan Ahmed son of Abdul Subhan resident of Akram Abad Doda."Meanwhile concerned Police has also registered a case and has started its investigation
Yet in another road mishap one person was killed while 11 were injured critically in two road accidents in Noushera and Rajouri tehsils.According to sources a GREF vehicle hit a motorcycle and crushed one of the riders to death while the others sustained injuries. An eyewitness, a passenger vehicle driver informed the police immediately the a motorcycle was hit by a vehicle belong to GREF and a police headed by Station House Officer (SHO), Rajourii YashPal Sharma rushed to accident.
The deceased has been identified as Rinku Sharma while injured was identified as Sonu Sharma (both resident of Pouni of Reasi district).Police sources said that a mini bus (JK 11-1823) on its way to Nowshera town from Qila Darhal had an head on collision with an army vehicle of 15 Assam near Kanara village at a sharp curve resulting injuries to 10 passengers of the minibus.
After legal formalities and on spot verification police has registered a case of negligence driving against the army driver under sections 279RPC (FIR 54/14).All the injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Nowshera from where one Ghulam Hussain of Kampala village was shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) and Hospital (GMC&H) for specialized treatment.
