Jammu, Mar 25:Smelling something fishy in their examination process, the Students who have been perusing various medical courses today lambasted Principal Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) who is also Vice President J&K Paramedical council. Scores of deprived paramedical students were gathered outside GMC and shouted slogans against Principal GMCH Dr Shashi Gupta who is also Vice President of Paramedical. Supported by National Secular Forum (NSF) the students held her responsible for problems of paramedical students. The protesting paramedical students demanded rechecking of their answer scripts of paramedical students besides publication of result in gazette. They alleged that paramedical students were penalized by the authorities, due to some unknown reasons. "It is very surprising and sound bizarre that around 16 thousand paramedical students are pursing various courses across Jammu province", the protestors said, adding that the date of exams had cancelled and rescheduled by the administration, when the exams were held, out of 16 thousand students, only one thousands were declared as qualified. They further said that the GMC administration has declared the result of paramedical course only on its website. "Moreover the marks obtained by the students are also not shown and students are declared as fail or pass, which is in violation of set norms", they regretted. They said that the tenure of paramedical course was of two years, but due to lackadaisical loom of authorities concerned same has extended to four years. "It seems that administration has deliberately failed maximum students", they said, adding that a probe should order to ascertain the facts. "Most of the paramedical students were sure to qualify the exams and it seemed that the under a well hatched conspiracy the students were declared as fail", he said, and demanded rechecking of answer scripts, declaration of result in a gazettee. |
