During the Assembly sessions including the recently concluded budget session Ministers are seen coming out with figures that thousands of posts have been referred to the recruitment agencies to be filled up on the fast track basis only to mislead the common masses. "SSB like many other agencies has made a mess of their work. It announces the issuance of application forms without setting any criteria. It draws a huge rush of aspirants only to be cheated. After sometime short listing of candidates is done much to the disappointment of many aspirants," said a group of aspirants. An aspirant while expressing his displeasure said that not a single day passes when the Government does not claim tall about its recruitment policies adding that there is nothing such to be found in the practical. The aspirant said the claims grow even taller when the elections approach nearer.' "SSB is not in good books records as far as their job is concerned. Government sells dreams only to befool the people especially the youth," said Moomin Sultan, a resident of Soibugh village in Central Kashmir's Budgam district. Moomin said that SSB has lost its credibility of providing jobs to the unemployed youth of the state. An official from Housing and Urban Development Department wishing anonimity said that he had applied for the post in the year 2004 and the interview was conducted in 2009, thus ruining five valuable years of career. This official said that this process goes on almost all the job aspirants resulting into wastage of precious time. Mushtaq Ahmad Allaiee, a youth from Budgam district said that he had applied for a post just two months before he crossed the upper age limit. He said that since he is 40 years now he wonders when would be the interview conducted. The candidates point out towards yet another fault of SSB and say that the Board publishes the list of the candidates one day and revises it the other day causing serious doubts in the minds of the aspirants. One of the aspirants Khan Masroor said, "I found my name only in the revised list of the candidates declared as having qualified for the interviews for the post of teacher. I wonder why I was missing in the first one." It would be in place to mention here that on October 15, 2011 SSB published the list of selected candidates of district Budgam for the post of teacher. But the selected ones could join their duties one year later on since the legal formalities were not completed earlier. |
