| Madni seeks support of people for corruption free system | | | Early Times Report
REASI, Apr 2: Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and senior leader of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sartaj Madni assured the people that PDP would formulate a comprehensive plan for the development and uplfitment of the hilly and backward areas of the State. Addressing a public meeting in support of party candidate for Udhampur-Doda seat Arshad Malik at Mahore today, Madni regretted that attention was never paid to the hilly areas like Mahore. He said that non availability of the basic amenities in this belt was a clear indication that inhabitants of this region were only exploited to reap political benefits and nothing has been done to minimize their miseries. He regretted that even after 67 years of independence this belt remained neglected in every spheres of life. He assured that people that PDP would formulate a comprehensive plan for the over-all development of this belt. Seeking support of the people in general and youth in particular to throw out the present inept and corrupt system to bring positive change in the life of the commoners, Madni termed National Conference-Congress coalition as worst ever corrupt government in the State. "Hilly areas remained neglected for decades together and it was only during the tenure of PDP led regime that various developmental projects were initiated", he said. |
