| Farooq, Soz declare Modi threat to country | | ‘Shall destroy secularism, Advani too afraid of him’ | | Saahil Suhail Anantnag, Apr 2 : While urging people to vote in favor of coalition candidates to strength secularism and to defeat Modi, National Conference patron Dr Farooq Abdullah and state Congress chief Prof. Saif-u-din Soz in voice today termed Modi threat for Country if he becomes Prime Minster. Addressing a gathering here in South Kashmir's Anantnag district after accompanying coalition candidate Dr Mehboob Beigh who today filed his nomination papers for Anantnag Parliamentary constituency, Dr Farooq said, " This is not the time to question each other but this is time to rethink whether we can defeat Modi or not? From past over eighty years I know from which stage this state progressed but I am afraid that if he sits in New Delhi, he will destroy the constitution. He is poison for this country" Farooq Abdullah while acknowledging that we might have hurt each other, urged workers not to raise questions but contribute in saving the country. "This person is saying one thing but believe me he will do opposite to it. So we have to save the nation." Taking on People's Democratic Party, Farooq Abdullah urged voters not to get deceived by the hollow slogans of Peoples Democratic Party. "Many a times I fell unconscious due to their hollow slogans. It was PDP which sold land to Amarnath Shrine board but blamed Ghulam Nabi Azad, isn't it Mr Soz Sahab?." Farooq said in a comedian mode. Earlier Saif-u-din Soz addressing the gathering appealed his party fold and activists not to heed rumors. "A day earlier I met my party leaders who conveyed their resentment on some issues but at the end of the day not a single member went against my directive, so all of them told me that they will respect the high command decision and will support collation candidates to defeat anti-secularism powers." He said that so far Omar Abdullah has proved his best while campaigning for congress candidates in Jammu region. "We are hopeful that collation will win all the seats including Ladakh one." He added. Taking on BJP's prime Ministerial candidate Narender Modi, Soz said, "Modi is definitely a threat for secular India, for our brotherhood and secularism, he is like poison and we all have to defeat him to ensure safety of the country, safety of the economy and brotherhood." He said that top leadership of BJP itself is too afraid of Narender Modi. "Now a day's Adavi is silent it is because he himself is afraid of Modi, Jaswant Singh and Sushma Suwraj is too afraid of Modi Ji", he said He urged workers of both the parties to vote and strength the collation government besides strengthening secular forces at national level. Earlier interacting with media reporters here in the office premises of Returning officer Anantnag parliamentary constituency, Farooq Abdullah replicated his commitment to stand with UPA in New Delhi and declined the Modi Wave. "In the country there is no Modi Wave it is media created wave and I am not going to leave UPA, I will stand with UPA in center." He said, adding, Modi wave can prove fatal for Muslims in general and Kashmiri's in particular. Responding to a query, Farooq Abdullah said that Muhammad Yousuf Bhat of Ganderbal is at liberty and he can talk anything against the party. "We are not scared of him and he can say whatever he wants to say," he said adding that NC has not done anything wrong and there is no need to feel scary of Yousuf Bhat.
