Jammu, Apr 2: Keeping in view of the financial background of the nineteen candidates who are in fray on Jammu Poonch constituency seat or in other words contesting in the 1st Phase of Jammu and Kashmir Lok Sabha Election four have been analyzed as Crorepatis, however, contrary to this, one of them has declared zero assests, while as 3 candidates have assests less then Rs 10 lakh. Further a total of 11 candidates have declared their liabilities worth lakhs.
Out of the four crorepatis , one is contesting as independent and is the richest of all. As per data provided by the Jammu and Kashmir Election Watch, the candidate Nirmal Singh, has assets of more than 3 Crore. The BJP candidate Jugal Kishore at serial number 2 . He has assets of more than 2 Crore, while as Congress Party's
candidate Madan Lal Sharma has assets of more than 1 Crore. The Socialistic Democratic Party's candidate Gursagar Singh declared his assets as more than 1 Crore.
Out of 11 , there are 5 candidates with highest liabilities. They
include Gursagar Singh (SDP) having a liability of more than Rs 33 lakh. Nirmal Singh, Independent, has liabilities of more than Rs 9 lakh,Hari Chand Jalmeria,JKNPP,has libalities of more than Rs 5lakh.Madan Lal Sharma,Congress, has declared his liabilities of more than Rs 3 lakh and Ashok Kumar, BSP,has declared his liabilities of more than Rs 3 lakh.
The three candidates who have assets less then Rs 10 Lakhs include Mehar Manav Bhagat, Bharatiya Bahujan Party,who declared Rs 32 lakh as his assets, Rs more than 2 lakh assets have been declared by Perseen Singh, and Indepdendent Candidate, while as Mohd Abbas Khan, Independent Candidate, declares Rs 2 lakh as his assets.
Giving edge to the above mentioned, there is one candidate namely Mohd Intiaz, Indepdent Candidate, who has declared zero assets. While as Subash Chander of All J&K Kisan Mazdoor Party has not declared his PAN details
Meanwhile, coming on criminal background, none of the candidates have declared criminal cases against them.
Pertinently, no woman candidate files nomination paper for the Jammu Poonch seat.
